Sensitive skin

What is sensitive skin?
Sensitive skin is when the skin can become sore and inflamed due to a reaction of the skin cells when touched. The reaction can be set off by heat, touch or products. It is usually not an allergic reaction that occurs but a problem with cells being over sensitive. Red blotchy patches can usually be seen on the skin.

What causes sensitive skin?
Skin sensitivity can be due to hormones, stress, lifestyle, diet, sun damage or genetics. Some skins are sensitive to different things so it is important to always do a small patch test with products before committing yourself to them.

Treatments for sensitive skin?
Advanced vitamin skin treatment – A treatment that used concentrated doses of vitamins A and C in a serum form. It is placed on the skin and electrical current is used to push the product to the basal layer of the skin when the skin cells grow. It helps to improve the condition of the cells making them less sensitive.

Products for sensitive skin?
  • Intensive antioxidant gel – A gel based product containing vitamins C and E used instead of vitamin A creams to reduce sensitivity.
  • Intensive colostrum gel – A Hydrating gel that helps to reduce inflammation and redness caused from skin sensitivity.
  • RAD – An SPF 15 used to help build a protective layer to protect the skin from antioxidants and reduce sensitivity
